Blog Post Purpose and Plan
Every blog post at Barefoot Betters will need to address the following: 1) Meet the needs of the customer, 2) Meet the needs of Barefoot Betters, 3) knowledge transfer by stating the purpose or essential question(s) the blog will answer, 4)
1-Custom Needs
Customers are trying to find a product or service or knowledge that will help them solve a problem. This needs to be timely and at a good value (motto buy cheap buy twice).
Social proof - following the pack, less risk when doing/buying what everyone is doing/buying.
Social standing - people both want to fit in and stand out, that is gain admiration from others.
2-Barefoot Baking Needs
Achieve sales, that is for the customer to purchase a service/product/knowledge from Barefoot Betters. Secondary needs are for the customer to sign up/subscribe to the newsletter, leave positive and insightful feedback/review and comments on the blog post, create an account on WooCommerce, share the post with others, and to be a fan of Barefoot Baking (that is testimonial our plan provided a positive benefit to the customer).

Objective is to develop a blog checklist and then have a blog editor tasked to ensure each blog is following the plan.
Blog Checklist
- SEO Title
- Beginning - State the essential question
- End - restate answer to essential question
- End - provide links to other Barefoot Betters posts
- End - call to action - such as button to purchase a product from Barefoot Betters or affiliate link or leave a helpful comment,
- End - customer quiz - did the blog help you solve you problem? What happened when the customer followed the suggestions? Did they try it out? How did God guide you?
- End - recap the benefits
- End - leave comments
- Review - does this blog follow the plan?
- Review - does the blog follow the style guide?
