Gut Glow Mango Lassi

Equipment

  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup pistachios
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 4 dates remove seed
  • 1 cup Milk, whole A2 milk recommended
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom seeds, ground Add seeds to a coffee grinder
  • 3 each Mint leaves
  • 850 g Kesar Mango Pulp 1 can, unsweetened preferred, but is challenging to find
  • 5 each Ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp Inulin powder Prebiotic fiber, Is about 20% the sweetness of sugar while promoting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, regulate blood sugar.
  • 1 each Fresh mango (optional) Pealed and cubed
  • 1/2 cup Trader Joe's Mango Nectar (optional) Only add if you like your mango lassi sweeter
  • 1/2 cup L. reuteri yogurt See Dr. William Davis on how to make Lactobacillus reuteri yogurt. ). Don't blend as it will damage the probiotic bacteria. Just hand stir into the mango drink.

Method
 

  1. In a glass bowl soak the nuts, dates, and raisins in the milk for 1 hour.
  2. Add the milk mixture to a Vitamix and blend until smooth.
  3. Add salt, ice, mango, mint, and cardamom to the Vitamix and blend. Add fresh mango if available. Also add Trader Joes Mango Nectar is you like a sweeter mango lassi. Blend. Then pour into a glass bowl.
  4. Add the L. reuteri yogurt into the bowl and mix with a large fork. Serve in a glass with a large diameter straw. Add more milk if too thick. Will keep for 1 week in a covered container in the refrigerator.
